Our cocoa butter originates from small wafers meticulously crafted by a cooperative situated high in the Cordillera Azul in Peru. Thriving in the tropical climate, cacao continuously flowers, although only a small percentage of flowers successfully yield fruit. Pollinated by tiny flies known as midges, the cacao pod takes up to 5 months to grow and ripen.
Given cocoa butter's low melting point, Love Butter beads may potentially melt during transit to higher temperature states, especially in the summer. To address this, we ship Love Butter with an ice pack during warmer periods and recommend storing it in the refrigerator for optimal preservation.

The extracted essence is skillfully blended with organic olive oil to improve solubility. The addition of organic olive oil continues until the total phenolic compounds reach 4.0-4.5%, a range determined by the unique composition of each batch of rosemary used.
